The Forge Heroes Support Fund extends targeted financial grants to help bridge critical gaps for those facing the profound challenges of recovery from duty-related injuries.

The Heroes Support Fund honors the sacrifices of our community's and nation's protectors by offering direct, non-repayable financial assistance. It ensures that heroes injured while serving their communities and country can focus on healing, family, and rebuilding their lives—without the added burden of overwhelming financial hardship.

Types of Financial Support Granted

The Forge Heroes Support Fund delivers personalized grants to address immediate and recovery-related needs, including:

  • Emergency financial relief — covering essential bills (mortgage/rent, utilities, groceries) during extended medical leave or hospitalization

  • Medical and adaptive expenses — uncovered costs for treatments, prosthetics, mobility aids, home modifications for accessibility, or specialized rehabilitation equipment

  • Family stabilization aid — short-term support for childcare, transportation to medical appointments, or loss of household income

  • Transition and renewal resources — assistance that complements THE FORGE's no-cost retreats and programs, helping heroes attend healing events or access ongoing peer support without financial barriers

All grants are provided with dignity, speed, and no repayment required—recognizing that these individuals have already given so much.

How it Works

Funding comes from generous individual donors, corporate sponsors, One Day for Heroes, the Friends of 1st Responders Society, community events, and dedicated campaigns via www.theforge-us.org/donate.

 

Applications are reviewed compassionately and efficiently, often in collaboration with first responder agencies, veteran service organizations, and military support networks. Our team prioritizes rapid response to verified needs.
